EDP is a vertically integrated multinational utility company. Throughout our 40-year history, we have built up a significant presence on the global energy scene, with a presence in 19 countries on 4 continents.

With more than 11,700 employees, we are present throughout the electricity value chain and in the gas commercialisation activity. We are the fourth largest wind energy producer in the world and almost 66% of our energy is produced from renewable resources. We supply electricity and gas to more than 11 million customers. The main operating figures for 2019 are as follows:

Installed capacity: 26,681 MW

Distributed electricity: 79,519 GWh

Electricity marketed: 61,259 GWh

Gas marketed: 19,389 GWh

Electricity customers: 9,828 M

Gas customers: 1,599 M
