AVL is the world’s largest independent technology partner for the development, simulation, and testing of powertrain systems as well as innovative automotive solution concepts.

AVL has around 11.000 employees around the world. AVL Iberica is responsible for the markets within Spain, Mexico, and Portugal. AVL Iberica was founded in 1990, and we have 3 offices in Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, and Valladolid) and two in Mexico (CDMX and Saltillo), we are currently 190 employees, with a high percentage of engineers.

Main lines of business of the entity

Design and development services for all elements of thermal engines, hybrids, pure electric vehicles, fuel cell powertrain systems, and ADAS. We have a wide network of 45 technical and engineering centers around the globe. In Spain we provide also resident services, our team currently has 50 employees for this task.
Advanced and accurate simulation and testing solutions for every aspect of the powertrain development process.
